February 6-10: Finalize all elements. Assemble. Prepare to "defend" your points.

Project Requirements and Proposal

Your project should include the following elements:

  • Writing Component(s): Each member of the group must write about the topic from a different perspective using a different genre: Narrative, Persuasion, Research, and Poetry are required. You may also choose one “wild card” idea (play, memoir, etc.) or double-up if you have more members than writing assignments.

    • Writing Requirements: Five-ten paragraphs, MLA formatting. The writing must be displayed or compiled in a publication—either online (Issuu.com) or in a published notebook (lulu.com).

  • Discussion: You and your group must engage in a documented, in-depth discussion of your topic. The discussion should be published to an online site (iTunes, Vimeo, YouTube), or available for viewing/listening during the presentation. The discussion should be between ten-twenty minutes in length. A discussion with another school from a different part of the country (or world) would be extra fantastic.

  • Visual: Your presentation, and all components with the presentation, should be displayed using a tri-fold poster board (or some other pre-approved creative means of display. The poster board should be filled with…
